We will start experimenting with fully automated vegetable gardens using apartment in Yokohama.

As part of the I-TOP Yokohama Lab initiative, Yokohama City, in cooperation with Yokohama City Housing Supply Corporation, provided apartment as a demonstration field, solicited proposals from July to August 2020 regarding demonstration tests of new IoT products and services for responding to COVID-19 infections and creating comfortable homes. Six of these projects have already been undertaken.
This time, we will start a demonstration test of a fully automated vegetable garden robot in a shared space in apartment. Along with that, we will hold a farming demonstration event with robots for residents.
Through this initiative, we will further promote the “Innovation City Yokohama” and utilize the results obtained in our efforts to revitalize suburban residential areas and housing complex.
