Yokohama City is expanding the use of renewable energy, such as solar power, with the aim of realizing a decarbonized "Zero Carbon Yokohama" by 2050. In recent years, large-scale power outages have occurred due to earthquakes and typhoons, and the importance of solar power generation, which can be used as an emergency power source in the event of a disaster, has been reaffirmed.
Therefore, in Motoichi, in cooperation with Kanagawa Prefecture and ituzer Co., Ltd., we will carry out a joint purchase campaign for "solar power generation" and "storage batteries".
This campaign is a mechanism that recruits applicants to purchase solar power generation and storage batteries and orders them collectively, taking advantage of economies of scale and purchasing them at a lower cost than usual.
In the campaign conducted in 2020, we were able to install more than 30% cheaper than market prices.
The solar power generation joint purchase project has been implemented by Kanagawa Prefecture since FY2019, and this time Yokohama City will also conclude a cooperation agreement with ituzer Co., Ltd. and implement this project.
