Yokohama City is expanding the use of renewable energy such as solar power to realize the Zero Carbon Yokohama decarbonization by 2050. In recent years, large-scale power outages due to earthquakes and large typhoons, the importance of solar power generation, which can be used as emergency power supplies in the event of a disaster, has been recognized again.
Therefore, in Motoichi, in cooperation with Kanagawa Prefecture and Ituzer Co., Ltd., we carry out joint purchase campaign of "solar power generation" and "storage battery".
This campaign is a mechanism that allows customers to purchase solar power and storage batteries and place orders collectively, making use of economies of scale and purchase at lower costs than usual.
In the campaign we conducted in 2020, we were able to install more than 30% cheaper than market prices.
The photovoltaic power generation joint purchase business has been implemented by Kanagawa Prefecture since FY2019, and this time Yokohama City will also conclude a cooperation agreement with Ituser Co., Ltd. and will implement this project.
