In cooperation with citizens and businesses, Yokohama City is promoting various initiatives that will lead to solving global issues in order to achieve the SDGs.
While there is a need to balance measures against COVID-19 infection and economic revitalization, we will establish the SDGs biz support subsidy for pioneering businesses that balance initiatives to solve local issues with the SDGs and new lifestyles.
In addition, as a measure against global warming, which is said to be a particularly urgent issue among the 17 goals of the SDGs, we will also start a campaign to switch to renewable energy electricity for city businesses, which promotes the use of renewable energy electricity.
We aim to realize a "city that continues to create new value and liveliness through the economy, culture, and art centered on the environment" as set forth in the vision of the SDGs Future City.
