Greenhouse gas emissions in the city in FY2018 (preliminary figures) 2.6% decrease compared to the previous year

　Greenhouse gas emissions (preliminary figures) from the Yokohama city area in FY2018 decreased by 2.6% from the previous year to 18.21 million tons-CO2. Factors for the decrease from the previous fiscal year include a decrease in energy consumption due to energy conservation efforts and a decrease in electricity emission factor. Going forward, we will continue to promote energy conservation and renewable energy in cooperation with citizens and businesses, and reduce greenhouse gases for the realization of Zero Carbon Yokohama.
