Yokohama City SDGs Certification System “Y-SDGs” The 2nd certification company in 2020 has been decided!

The Yokohama SDGs Design Center plays a central role in realizing the SDGs future city of Yokohama, with the Yokohama SDGs Design Center, and is promoting various initiatives to connect familiar issues to solving global issues in cooperation with citizens and businesses.
Yokohama City SDGs Certification System “Y-SDGs” (hereinafter “Y-SDGs”) started its second recruitment in January, and following the first certification in November last year, we received applications from many businesses working toward the achievement of Y-SDGs. Together with the previous survey, the number of certified companies in this fiscal year was 148.
This time, as the number of applications increased significantly from the previous time, and the number of certifications has increased four times from the previous time, and the number of suburban businesses also increased to six. The construction industry accounted for 33% of the total, followed by manufacturing and retail businesses.
In addition, business evaluation system scheduled to start full-scale from next fiscal year pushes forward evaluation targeting at adoption business of "Yokohama SDGs biz support subsidy" and releases result sequentially on city homepage.
