Support for development of Yokohama City in the near future

In collaboration with various companies and organizations in Japan and overseas, Yokohama City is working to develop high value-added products and services, create new businesses, and solve social issues using new technologies.
In addition, various international events are held in the city, and while there are opportunities for future leaps, such as transmitting the attractiveness of the city and revitalizing the economy. There are social issues such as a decline in population and aging urban infrastructure, mainly in suburban areas. Under these circumstances, in order to solve the problems and issues of the city, we set demonstration fields and themes in advance in order to solve problems and to develop and satisfy needs through near-future technologies and to develop and satisfy needs through near-future technologies. We support project creation and business conversion, and are working to solve social issues.

New Demonstration Experiment Field-Resolution of Facility Management-Overview of Facility Tour

Yokohama City Housing Supply Corporation has been recruiting demonstration experiments with the themes of "comfortable housing," "revitalization of commercial facilities in the COVID-19 pandemic," and "smart agriculture in urban areas."
As part of this, last year, we held a workshop aimed at identifying the needs of the facilities in the field of TBS Midoriyama Studio (hereinafter referred to as "Midoriyama Studio"), which has a large-scale studio facility in Yokohama, was held last year. I think that everyone who participated was able to deepen their understanding of the needs of the facility.
This time, when recruiting demonstration experiments, we will hold a facility tour to explain the issues again from Midoriyama Studio City, which is entrusted with facility management, and will hold a facility tour to guide you to the actual demonstration experiment site.
We look forward to the participation of companies working on the development of new products and services with the aim of transforming facility operation management.

What Midoriyama Studio expects

In this initiative, the field provider, Midoriyama Studio, expects, is to digitize the equipment by working on DX of existing facilities that can be implemented in a short period of time, without major facility renovations, thereby digitizing the facilities and making it a comfortable and attractive facility for users and visitors.

Major facility issues and solutions Examples

In this project, it is assumed that the main field of demonstration experiments will be the setting space where outdoor and props are used as the primary storage area, and a cargo handling area for separating garbage.
(* The tour site is subject to change.)
Although it does not specify the content of the proposal or field, the following is an example of the solution.

1. Security guard

  • Review of the entrance system (e.g., electronic management of entrance/exit, IC chip and QR code entry)
  • Efficient monitoring of the entire site (e.g., site boundary monitoring using infrared rays and drones)

2. Labor saving in facility management

  • Efficiency and labor-saving (e.g. automation of cleaning robots, lunch boxes and kitchen garbage separation work)
  • Efficiency and labor saving (e.g., both self-driving vehicles for automated transportation of art materials)

3. Effective utilization of the site and expansion of functions

  • Resolving parking lot problem (e.g., smart parking using sensors, beacons, etc.)

4. Environment

  • Effective use of environmentally conscious measures (e.g., how to use excess heat from solar panels in summer)
  • Reduction of energy consumption (e.g. use of EV and PHEV)

5. Measures against pests and pests

  • Thorough pest control (e.g., stop invasion with sounds and light that animals hate)
  • Prevention of intrusion and occurrence of pests (e.g., high-precision sensors that detect invasion and AI cameras)

6. Others

  • Improvement of attractiveness of facilities (e.g., effective transmission of events and events, heat shielding, and automatic ventilation using IoT products)
