Overview
Yokohama City is working on the ITOP Yokohama Lab, which aims to create new projects by providing a demonstration field. This time, with the theme of revitalizing shopping streets in the city affected by the spread of COVID-19, proposals for new IoT products and IoT services (proposals for demonstration experiments of products and services under development and test marketing of existing products and services) and shopping streets that would like to introduce these new IoT products and IoT services on a trial basis.

Eligibility
・You have already participated in I.TOP Yokohama. You must apply for participation at the same time as the application.
・Ideas for products and services have been embodied, and prototypes for immediate implementation of demonstration experiments have already been completed.
・The proposals for "I.TOP Yokohama Lab" are new products and services that match the objectives and themes of this initiative, and a demonstration experiment (test introduction) of products and services for a certain period of time in the fields of shopping streets in Yokohama City, etc.

Those that satisfy any of the following a and b and do not fall under c
Oh, "Shoten Association" (as of April 1, 2022) that is a member of the Yokohama City Shopping Street Association and carries out shopping street activities.
B. “Shoten Association” and “Organization equivalent to the Store Association” organized as of April 1, 2022 and continuously carry out business activities that meet the following conditions:
Business activities targeting visitors (consumers) are formed by accumulating and proximity to businesses such as retail, food and beverage, and service industries in certain areas to form a block. ※1 and environmental action ※Organizations that contribute to local communities such as anti-crime program and disaster prevention activities (excluding those composed of stores located in commercial buildings and underground shopping centers (so-called "tenant associations")).
※1 Events, sales, point card business, take-out delivery business, etc. conducted by the Store Association for the purpose of economic development of member stores.
※2 Beautification activities, recycling promotion activities, eco-bag sales and use promotion projects, etc.
C) Organizations that are not eligible
(a) Organizations including stores that engage in acts in violation of laws and regulations
(b) Organizations including stores that engage in businesses that violate public order and morals
(c) Gangsters (Yokohama City Gangster Exclusion Ordinance (December 2011 Yokohama City Ordinance No. 51). Hereinafter, it is referred to as the "Gangster Ordinance." ) Article 2, Item 3

We will perform individual matching and coordination between companies and shopping streets, etc., and start as appropriate from the prepared efforts.

What is I. TOP Yokohama?
Yokohama City has launched IoT Open Innovation Partners (I.TOP Yokohama), a place for exchange and cooperation, project promotion, and human resource development to create businesses utilizing IoT and other technologies. In collaboration with various companies and institutions in Japan and overseas, I. TOP Yokohama is working to develop high value-added products and services, create new businesses, and solve social issues utilizing new technologies through open innovation.
What is the I-TOP Yokohama Lab?
Yokohama is facing social issues such as a declining birthrate and aging population, a decline in the working-age population, and aging urban infrastructure, especially in suburban areas. On the other hand, various international events are held in Yokohama, and it is also a city that has opportunities for the future leap, such as communicating the appeal of the city and revitalizing the economy. Under these circumstances, I.TOP Yokohama has established the I.TOP Yokohama Lab as a new framework to help companies create projects and commercialize projects, as well as to solve social issues, in order to resolve issues and possibilities facing Yokohama through IoT, and to develop and satisfy needs through IoT.
