[Finished] Holding a workshop on the theme of new lab "Improvement of safety, security, comfort, and attractiveness of railway stations"

In 2019, Yokohama City launched "IoT Open Innovation Partners (ITOP Yokohama)" as a place for exchanges, collaboration, project promotion, and human resource development, in order to create businesses utilizing IoT, etc. In collaboration with various companies and organizations in Japan and overseas, ITOPI Yokohama is working to develop products and services with high value-added products and services, create new businesses, and solve social issues using new technologies.

Yokohama City is facing social issues such as declining birthrate and aging population, declining working-age population, and aging urban infrastructure, especially in suburban areas. On the other hand, various international events are held, and it is also a city that has opportunities for future leaps, such as transmitting the appeal of the city and revitalizing the economy. Under these circumstances, ITOPI Yokohama has set up demonstration fields and themes in advance and solicit corporate proposals in order to solve the issues and possibilities facing Yokohama through IoT and to develop and fulfill their needs through IoT and to develop and fulfill their needs through IoT and to develop and fulfill their needs through IoT.

To date, ITOPI Yokohama has set themes such as "comfortable housing" and "revitalization of commercial facilities in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic," and selected companies have been conducting demonstration experiments in the fields of rental housing managed by Yokohama City Housing Supply Corporation and the southern Yokohama market.
Under these circumstances, we are preparing to launch a new lab with the theme of "improving safety, security, comfort, and attractiveness of railway stations." Prior to the recruitment of demonstration experiments, the company's staff will explain the real issues faced by Sagami Railway Co., Ltd., a railway operator in the city, and to deepen the understanding of companies considering proposals. We will hold a workshop.
Specific issues include mobility support in station facilities according to their physical characteristics (elderly, disabled, children, etc.) and prompt and accurate information transmission in the event of an abnormality (for example, in the event of an accident, etc.) It is assumed that the method of hand, the work efficiency of staff involved in facility management, and the creation of new value for stations.
