Overview
Yokohama City is working on the ITOP Yokohama Lab, which aims to create a new project by providing a demonstration field. This time, the station of Sagami Railway Co., Ltd., a railway operator in Yokohama City, is the main demonstration field, and we are recruiting new IoT products and services that provide support for movement within station facilities according to their physical characteristics (elderly people, disabled people, children, etc.), prompt and accurate information transmission methods in times of abnormality (for example, in the event of an accident), efficient work efficiency of staff involved in facility management, and creation of new value for stations.

Examples of proposals and solutions for the expected demonstration experiment
In this project, of the railway-related facilities managed and operated by Sagami Railway Co., Ltd. (limited to Yokohama city), stations with 50,000 passengers and about 10,000 passengers will be the main field of demonstration experiments. I plan to do it. We look forward to proposals for new IoT products and services that provide mobility support at railway stations, improve the efficiency of staff work, quickly and accurately disseminate information in case of abnormalities, and create new value for stations.
(1) Information on railway operation status and congestion status of station facilities
- Initiatives that can smoothly and efficiently provide information to railway users not only during normal operation but also in times of abnormality.
- Example: Installation of operation information display monitor, etc.
(2) Support assisting movement and getting on and off within the station facilities
- Efforts to facilitate movement within station facilities according to each physical characteristic (elderly, disabled, children, etc.)
- Introduction and installation of mobility support tools
(3) Efficiency of operation and management of station facilities
- Check and optimize the operation status of equipment in station facilities, and take measures to prevent defects and defects in equipment.
- Visualization of operation status, installation of equipment that detects and predicts defects, etc.
(4) Further promote the use of railways and station facilities
- Efforts to improve the comfort of traveling to destinations and using railways
- Introduction of transfer support tools, etc.
- Efforts to improve the satisfaction of railway users by utilizing waiting time and gap time during boarding
- Entertainment programs, etc. that make use of the use of railways
- Efforts to improve the attractiveness, convenience, and migration of station Naka facilities and commercial facilities around the station
- Effective transmission of sales and event information at each facility (mobile digital signage, etc.)
- Efforts to improve the attractiveness of facilities that you want to visit for purposes other than using railways
- Provision of programs that will create new attractiveness as a commercial facility, and effective use of vacant stores, etc.
(5) Solving Energy and Environmental Issues
- Efforts to promote resource recycling and improve the environmental performance of stations
- Introduction of equipment that reduces environmental impact
Eligibility
- You have already participated in I.TOP Yokohama. You must apply for participation at the same time as the application.
- Ideas for products and services have been embodied, and prototypes for immediate implementation of demonstration experiments have already been completed. (After adoption, prototype development will begin, and if it takes a certain period of time to demonstrate products and services, it will be deemed that you are not eligible to apply.)
- The proposal for "I. TOP Yokohama Lab" is a new product / service that matches the purpose / theme, and a certain period of time at a railway station managed and operated by Sagami Railway Co., Ltd., a railway operator in the city. Request and plan to conduct a demonstration experiment of products and services. If you wish or do not plan a demonstration experiment on a new product or service (for example, only want matching with Sagami Railway Co., Ltd.), it is deemed that you are not eligible for the application.
- If you are planning a new business targeting customers in different fields than existing ones, or a new business that expands the functions of existing products and services, you can also apply for ready-made or ready-made services if the theme matches the new business.

What is I. TOP Yokohama?

What is the I-TOP Yokohama Lab?
Yokohama is facing social issues such as a declining birthrate and aging population, a decline in the working-age population, and aging urban infrastructure, especially in suburban areas. On the other hand, various international events are held in Yokohama, and it is also a city that has opportunities for the future leap, such as communicating the appeal of the city and revitalizing the economy. Under these circumstances, I.TOP Yokohama has established the I.TOP Yokohama Lab as a new framework to help companies create projects and commercialize projects, as well as to solve social issues, in order to resolve issues and possibilities facing Yokohama through IoT, and to develop and satisfy needs through IoT.
