Last Updated November 19, 2024

Support for Future Technology Development in Yokohama City

In cooperation with various companies and institutions in Japan and overseas, Yokohama City is working to develop high value-added products and services, create new businesses, and solve social issues using new technologies through open innovation.
In addition, various international events are held in Motoichi, and while there are opportunities for the future leap, such as transmitting the attractiveness of the city and revitalizing the economy, the aging of the population and the working age There are social issues such as a decline in the population and the aging of urban infrastructure, mainly in the suburbs. Under these circumstances, in order to resolve issues and issues facing the city through near-future technology and to develop and satisfy needs, we set demonstration fields and themes in advance, solicit demonstration experiment proposals, etc. We support project creation and business conversion, and work to solve social issues.

New demonstration experiment field-Solving problems in facility management-Overview of workshops

In Yokohama City, we have set themes such as "comfortable housing," "revitalization of commercial facilities during the COVID-19 pandemic," and "smart agriculture in urban areas," and have recruited demonstration experiments using rental housing managed by Yokohama City Housing Supply Corporation, the southern Yokohama market, and farmland in Yokohama.
This time, it has been decided to recruit demonstration experiments under the theme of "solving problems in facility management".
In the past demonstration experiment field, efforts were made in units of fields/regions, but in order to horizontally expand the results of initiatives and initiatives, it is necessary to cross fields/regions, and facilities that have similar issues to those facing society as a whole, such as labor saving in facility operation and business activities and energy saving and decarbonization of facilities that respond to rising energy costs.
Prior to the recruitment of demonstration experiments, Midoriyama Studio City Co., Ltd., which has a large-scale studio facility in Yokohama City, explained the management and management issues of the facility and deepened the understanding of the participants. We will hold a workshop (ideason format) aimed at discovering the needs of facilities with similar issues.
We look forward to the participation of companies engaged in the development of new products and services that aim to convert facility operation and management into DX.
