[Notice] <Size criteria> About change of handling of area of stairs
Regarding the standard that "the floor area of at least one floor of the dwelling unit (excluding the area of the stairs) shall be at least 40 square meters."
Until now, in Yokohama City, if the lower part of the stairs can be used as a living space such as toilets, storage, and free space, etc.
Either of the following 12 areas can be excluded from the area of the stairs.
①30% of the area of the stairs
②Parts with a ceiling height of more than 1.4m
However, from July 1, 2022, if the lower part of the stairs can be used as a living space such as toilets, storage, and free space, regardless of 12, the area can be excluded from the area of the stairs. I will do it.
About certification criteria
The long-term use structure is confirmed by registered house performance evaluation organizations, etc., and the performance as a long-term excellent house is certified.

About disaster consideration standard
About disaster consideration standard of Yokohama-shi, we exclude "earth and sand disaster special caution area" from authorization target as area where danger of disaster is particularly high.
With the addition of standards, the following books must be submitted at the time of application.
・Disaster Consideration Standard Confirmation Report (PDF: 89KB)
・Figure showing that it is outside the special alert area for earth and sand disasters: Kanagawa earth and sand disaster information portal site (outside site) of application site
