Mr. Iwashima, Chairman of the Neighborhood Association of the Saedo Kagahara District Union, who received the Minister of the Environment Award, paid a courtesy call to Director General.

　Iwashima, Chairman of the Neighborhood Association of the Kagahara District Alliance, Tsuzuki Ward   Saedo, was awarded the Minister of the Environment Award for his achievements in beautification of the local environment, and his wife paid a courtesy call to Mayor Nakano on June 12.
　Iwashima, Chairman of the Environmental Business Promotion Committee, has been instrumental in local environmental beautification activities, including the maintenance and management of the collection site.
　In addition, we are working on environmental education for children who will lead the next generation, such as beautification of the local environment for kindergarten, nursery school children and elementary school students in the ward, and a short play that conveys the importance of environmental protection through the actions of garbage collection by category.
In addition, in 2017, as a model district of the Ministry of the Environment's Plastic Collective Demonstration Project, it played a central role in conducting demonstration experiments and contributing as a regional coordinator.
　In addition to the above initiatives, we have been awarded the Minister of the Environment Award this time.

　Mayor Nakano first expressed his gratitude for his activities so far, and then at the award ceremony, Chairman Iwashima was awarded a certificate directly by the Minister of the Environment as a representative of 16 individual awards for those who have beenautifying the local environment. It was a courtesy call surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere full of smiles throughout the day.
