We carried out Hayabuchi River flood control drill!

　On June 8, 2019 (Saturday), we carried out Hayabuchi River flood control drill for all of Kachidacho Neighborhood Associations.

　In the Neighborhood Associations area of Kachidacho, the first part was an "information transmission training" between the relevant organizations (Tsuzuki fire brigade, Tsuzuki fire department, Tsuzuki police department, and Tsuzuki Ward   Office) and "evacuation warning announcement training" on the assumption that water levels could be flooded. The evacuation warning announcement was made to the residents through disaster prevention speakers at Katsuta Kaikan and vehicles from related organizations.

　In the second part, at Katsuta Elementary School, we conducted flood control methods (construction of sandbag construction) led by members of the Yokohama Construction Industry Association Tsuzuki Ward Association, and water rescue drills by Tsuzuki fire department and Tsuzuki fire brigade. In the flood control method, the participants actually had the sandbags so that they could have the image of sandbag construction. Also, in the water rescue training, cheers and applause occurred in the powerful training. After that, the ward office told us about preparations for flood damage (stockpiling, information collection method, evacuation flow, "alert level" that operation began this year, etc.) at the gymnasium.

　After the training, there was also an opportunity to get on a ladder fire truck, etc., and the participants were very pleased.

　Tsuzuki Ward   has prepared "Speakers for Disaster Prevention" to provide evacuation information to residents living along the Tsurumi River and Hayabuchi Rivers. 。 This time, one was added to "Saedo Park" along the Tsurumi River and started operation in June.

　As we push forward approach to flood damage even if we assume ward office sequentially, we would like promotion of "approach of self support community support" about inhabitants of a ward.
