As the name implies, this park is a "historical park" that opens the Chigasaki Castle ruins. Chigasaki Castle is a hill castle in the Middle Ages (14th to 15th century) built at the tip of a low plateau on the southern shore of the Hayabuchi River, and was a thick green hill locally called "Joyama".
In the development of the Kohoku New Town, Yokohama City advocated the preservation and succession of cultural properties, decided to preserve the current status of Chigasaki Castle, which was known from an early age, along with the Otsuka and Toshikatsudo archeological site on the opposite side of the Hayabuchi River, `` History Park '' It was maintained and released.

Chigasaki Castle Ruins
