Notification of transfer using My Number Card / Basic Resident Register Card (moving from outside the city)

• A person who has previously issued a transfer notification using a My Number Card or Basic Resident Register Card in the municipality where you live.

• Notifications cannot be made before moving.
• If the 14th day falls on the closing date of the ward office, the next open day will be the last day of notification period.
• Outside the above acceptance period, you will not be able to submit a transfer notice using your My Number Card or Basic Resident Register Card. Obtain a “certificate equivalent to the transference certificate” at the municipalities before moving, and receive normalTransference NotificationPlease submit it.

• Notifications cannot be made at city halls, administrative service corners, or other ward offices.

• In Yokohama City, even those who have made a notification of transfer by the minor portal are also requested to fill out the resident transfer registration form provided at the ward office Family Registry Division window and issue a number tag using the ticketing machine.

My Number Card or Basic Resident Register Card can be used continuously in Yokohama City as it is. However, in the following cases, procedures for continuous use may not be possible on the same day as the transfer notice.

The digital certificate for signature of My Number Card will automatically expire with a change in Address. If you would like to issue it, please also apply for a digital certificate.

• Please notify us within 14 days from the date you start living at the moving destination or within 30 days from the scheduled date of moving, whichever comes first. After that, the card will expire and you will not be able to submit a transfer notification using the card (reissue your My Number card must be reissued). • If you submit a transfer notification using a card, you will need to enter the PIN of the card when submitting a transfer notification at the ward office where you will be moving.
  If you forget your card PIN, or if you cannot enter the 4-digit PIN of the card at the ward office where you moved and locked it, you will not be able to read the information on the IC chip.Application for PIN resetYou will need it.
• If the municipal office before moving has not been completed in the municipalities before moving, you will not be able to submit a transfer notice at the ward office of the moving destination.
