Yokohama City Infectious Disease Examination Council

Overview

The "Yokohama City Infectious Disease Examination Council" is a law on the prevention of infectious diseases and medical care for patients with infectious diseases (Act No. 114 of 1998). This is an affiliated organization of Yokohama City established in April 1999 based on the Article 24 of the Yokohama City Infectious Disease Examination Council Ordinance (outside site).
From April 2007, with the revision of the Infectious Diseases Control Law, the existing Infectious Disease Examination Council and the Tuberculosis Examination Council were integrated.
It is set up for the purpose of advising hospitalization, extension of hospital stay, or discussing medical treatment for tuberculosis patients.
