Yokohama City Infectious Disease Examination Council

Overview
The "Yokohama City Infectious Disease Examination Council" is a law on the prevention of infectious diseases and medical care for patients with infectious diseases (Act No. 114 of 1998). Hereafter, it is referred to as the “Infectious Disease Law”). It is an affiliated organization of Yokohama City established in April 1999 based on Article 24 and the Yokohama City Infectious Disease Examination Council Ordinance (outside site).
From April 2007, following the revision of the Infectious Diseases Control Law, the conventional Infectious Disease Examination Council and the Tuberculosis Examination Council were integrated.
It is set up for the purpose of recommending hospitalization, extending hospitalization period, or discussing medical care for tuberculosis patients.
