What is Imported Infectious Disease?
Even infectious diseases that do not occur or are rarely outbreaks in Japan, there are many infectious diseases that are still prevalent overseas.
(Dysentery, typhoid, rabies, dengue fever, malaria, measles, etc.)
With the increase in overseas travelers and the development of international exchange, the number of reports of Japanese travelers and foreigners who are presumed to have been infected overseas is increasing.
In the future, it is expected that further international exchanges and large-scale international events will increase opportunities for infectious diseases to be brought into Japan, so it is important for each individual to take measures to prevent their own infection and spread to others.
Preventive measures
When going abroad
First, check in advance information on infectious diseases that are prevalent at your destination.
There are infectious diseases that can be prevented by vaccination or preventive oral medication.

There are many people entering and exiting accommodations and commercial facilities.
Once an infectious disease is brought in, the infection may spread to employees and facilities.
In some cases, infectious diseases that are not usually prevalent in Japan may be brought in, and people working at airports and tourist destinations have been infected.
