Is there a medical expenses subsidy program for patients with incurable disease?

Among the so-called incurable disease whose cause is unknown and no treatment method has been established, diseases designated by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare are called "designated incurable disease." Because the treatment of designated incurable disease is extremely difficult and the medical expenses is expensive, we subsidize a portion of the medical expenses for those who meet certain criteria to reduce the burden on patients medical expenses.
Target disease
Designated incurable disease (the disease designated by Ordinance of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of incurable disease)

Please contact Elderly and Disabled Support Division of each ward or Health and Social Welfare Bureau Health Promotion Division incurable disease.
Applications can also be accepted at the ward office window or by mail.
