What happens to insurance premiums if an insured person in the medical system for elder senior citizens dies in the middle of the year?
Last Updated November 4, 2021
If you lose your insured qualification for medical care for the elderly due to your death in the middle of the fiscal year, you will be charged the premium on a monthly basis until the month before the month to which the day you lost your qualification (the day after the day of death) belongs. Please bear it.
For example, if you lose your qualification in August, you will be required to pay insurance premiums from April to July (equivalent to four months of the annual amount).
※If you die on July 31, you will be lost on August 1 and you will be required to pay insurance premiums until July.
