Background of sister city partnership

Sister city partnership date: July 1, 1965 (Showa 40)
In 1964, we received a consultation from Odesa City for a sister city tie-up and repeated exchanges, and Yokohama and Odesa were both reconstructed from the scorched soil caused by the war and that they were international port cities. In 1965, we formed a sister city tie-up.

Interaction with Odesa

We carry out administrative exchange, health and medical exchange with Odesa City in the past. We accept several doctors from Odesa City in Motoichi for training and facility inspection. In recent years, four physicians were accepted in 2001.
