On May 28, a very painful incident occurred in Tama Ward, Kawasaki City, where many people including elementary school student and their parents, were attacked by knives, and two victims died.
In response to this incident, the Kanagawa Prefectural Police requested cooperation in ensuring the safety of children on school roads. For this reason, Yokohama City has expanded the number of anti-crime program patrols, mainly during school hours. During July and August, anti-crime program patrols will be conducted on school roads around elementary schools.
