Citizen collaboration in Yokohama is hot this summer!

One of the features of the "Yokohama City Citizens' Collaboration Ordinance" is that Article 10 stipulates that "citizens can propose citizen collaboration projects to the government." Civic Affairs Bureau is implementing the "experimental project for Proposals for Collaborative Projects" that utilizes Article 10 of the Ordinance, in order to link the pioneering and flexible ideas of citizens to solve local issues and create attractive towns. In fiscal 2019, three groups adopted for this project have concluded a collaborative contract with Yokohama City and are engaged in various initiatives under their respective themes. We introduce examples of citizens and administrative departments cooperate and work together while demonstrating each other's wisdom and know-how.
