Yokohama City is a host town in the UK, a pre-campsite for the British national team for the Tokyo 2020 Games. In order to deepen the connection between U.K. and Yokohama, and to increase the momentum to welcome the British national team, we are promoting various initiatives such as creating exchange opportunities through sports and culture.
The BBC Proms, one of the world's largest classical music festivals, with a history of 125 years at U.K., will be held for the first time in Japan.
Performers of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, who will come to Japan for the first time with the event, and elementary school students in the city will interact through music.
