Yokohama City is a host town in the UK, a pre-campsite for the Tokyo 2020 Games and host town. In order to deepen the connection between U.K. and Yokohama, and to increase the momentum to welcome the British national team, we are promoting various initiatives, such as creating opportunities for sports and culture exchanges.
The BBCProms, one of the world's largest classical music festival, with 125 years of history, will be held for the first time in Japan.
The performers of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, who will come to Japan for the first time with the event, and elementary school students in the city will interact through music.
