On March 19, 2023, KDDI Corporation and Yokohama City will hold a "Smile for Tomorrow and Peace in Ukraine," an exchange event between people who have been evacuated from Ukraine and citizens of Yokohama.
As a sister city of Peace Messenger City certified by the United Nations and Odesa City in Ukraine, Yokohama City has opened the Ukrainian Exchange Cafe "Druzii" to provide hospitality to Ukrainian refugees.
Since June 2022, KDDI has been working to support Ukrainian refugees through the Ukrainian Exchange Cafe "Druzy".
The purpose of this event is to be close to the thoughts of Ukrainian refugees and to make Yokohama citizens familiar with Ukraine by exhibiting booths related to Ukraine, such as performances such as music on stage and sightseeing tours in Ukraine and Yokohama using smart glasses and XR technology.
