Based on a comprehensive partnership agreement concluded with Sotetsu Holdings Co., Ltd. in April 2013, Yokohama City aims to create a town where various generations can live by solving local issues and revitalizing the railway line along the Sotetsu Izumino Line (next-generation town development)", industry, academia and citizens have collaborated to carry out various initiatives, such as redevelopment in front of stations, holding plans utilizing local resources, and demonstration experiments utilizing advanced technologies.
As part of this initiative, Sotetsu Building Management Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Yokohama) will open a new parking lot using the latest ICT (information and communication technology) on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, "Yokohama Smart Parking Ryokuentoshi West Exit" will be newly opened. This parking lot has a share cycle as a means of local transportation, has functions such as a free Wi-Fi access point function in the event of a disaster, a mobile phone / smartphone charge function, securing drinking water, etc. It includes Japan's first service that enables advance reservations.
