In 1997, Yokohama City concluded an "Agreement on Cooperation for First Aid Measures in the Event of an Earthquake Related to Yokohama City Public Buildings" with five organizations related to construction and equipment in the city. In FY2018, a new agreement was concluded with the Kanagawa Prefectural Small and Medium Construction Industry Association Yokohama Branch.
In the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011, 82 members from 56 member companies that signed the agreement were dispatched to 43 facilities based on the agreement and conducted safety inspections.
In order for the agreement to function effectively in the event of a disaster, we will conduct immediate dispatch training at city / ward government buildings, hospitals, fire departments, etc. (facilities subject to immediate dispatch) that play a central role in disaster recovery.
This time, on Wednesday, September 25, 2019, six organizations that have concluded the agreement will dispatch a total of 346 dispatched workers to 49 facilities and conduct training all at once.
