By supporting demonstration experiments through I.TOP Yokohama, Yokohama City is working to improve productivity and solve social issues by utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as IoT and AI, and to create new business models.
As an initiative of "I TOP Yokohama", Continental Automotive Co., Ltd. will install a traffic flow observation sensor (radar camera) at the intersection and analyze the data obtained there. A demonstration experiment will be conducted in the Minato Mirai 21 district.
In the future, based on the analyzed data, if it is possible to notify pedestrians and cars of danger through light and sound devices linked to sensors, the safety of both walkers and cars will increase, It can be expected to reduce traffic accidents at intersections.
