Collaboration with the Amelias Program in fostering female entrepreneurs with the aim of creating innovation from a global perspective

Yokohama City has concluded an agreement with Women’s Startup Lab Impact Foundation Japan, a leading company in Silicon Valley, to support female entrepreneurs.
This time, Women's Startup Lab Impact Foundation Japan is implementing a new program for female entrepreneurs with a view to the world under the name of "Amelias". In this program, the two parties will collaborate to hold a program for female high school students at YOXO BOX, a startup growth base in Yokohama. In addition, a program for female entrepreneurs aiming for global success will be set up in Tokyo that allows those who live, attend school, work, or register their offices in the city to participate.
The city has been supporting women's entrepreneurship by opening a shared office exclusively for women, setting up a contact point for expert consultation, and promoting in cooperation with department stores in the city. Through this new program, we aim to contribute to the creation of an environment in which active female entrepreneurs can flourish from Yokohama to the world and the creation of an ecosystem that supports female entrepreneurs in Japan.
