Since 2019, Yokohama City and the Kihara Memorial Yokohama Life Science Foundation have been collaborating with CONNECT, an entrepreneur support organization in San Diego, USA, to carry out The SpringboardTMProgram in Yokohama, a program that fosters and supports small and medium-sized startups in the life sciences field. Four companies participating in the fourth phase of the program have been selected.
Going forward, participating companies will refine their business skills through practical mentoring by San Diego entrepreneurs and professional mentors mentors in San Diego so that they can make a propelling pitch of their products and services, and after completion of the program, they will report their results to U.S. venture capitals and related companies.
Through this initiative, Yokohama City will promote support for small and medium-sized startups to realize the "Innovation City, Yokohama".
