Kanto Gakuin University, McDonald's Japan Co., Ltd. and Yokohama City will hold a "Tray Mat Design Contest" as a collaborative project to learn about the importance of biodiversity and to promote awareness.
This contest was held in 2021, ahead of the whole country, and this is the fourth time this year.
Kanto Gakuin University students learned about biodiversity, Yokohama City's efforts, and McDonald's Japan's contribution to the SDGs, and designed a tray mat to be laid on trays used at McDonald's stores to think about biodiversity, Yokohama's contribution to the SDGs.
From the design, we will conduct an online voting that anyone can participate in.
The winning work will be exhibited in November at all McDonald's stores in Yokohama as an actual tray mat. In addition, one of the works will be determined by the Yokohama City Green Environment Bureau Director's Award and will be awarded in November.
