Yokozuna Teruno Fujiseki presents a “Sumo place” to children in Yokohama. Yokozuna handed the catalog to Takeharu Yamanaka, The Mayor of Yokohama

Today, the sumo wrestling Isegahama room's Yokozuna Teruno Fujiseki said, "I want to convey sumo, a national sport, to future children, and I want more children to do sumo." In response to an offer to donate a "Sumoba" (ringle) to the city, we handed the catalog to Mayor Yamanaka. Yokohama City was grateful to receive this offer to promote sports such as sumo wrestling, contribute to the healthy growth of children, and enhance the appeal of parks in Yokohama City. During fiscal 2024, we plan to establish a "sumo place" at Shin-Yokohama Park in Kohoku Ward and accept it as a donation. When completed, it will be the only "Sumo place" in the park in Yokohama City.
