The Institute of Environmental Science conducts summer (July and August) temperature observations at 43 locations in the city.
The average temperature in July at all locations in 2020 was 24.5 ° C and the average temperature in August was 29.4 °C. Compared to the monthly average temperature for each year over the past 10 years (2010 to the year of the fiscal year), July was approaching a record low of 0.1 ° C in July, but in August it was a record high. 2020 was the year when the temperature difference between July and August was the largest.
