On Thursday, June 4, 2020, the ants (approximately 300 individuals) found from the container storage area of Minamihonmaki Wharf and the Honmaki Wharf D jetty were identified by experts requested by the Ministry of the Environment. It was confirmed as a fire ant.
Containers where fire ants have been confirmed are fumigation, and insecticide bait (Bate agent) and traps are installed around the point where the fire ants were confirmed.
On Wednesday, June 10, a survey conducted at Honmoku Pier D embankment confirmed the presence of fire ants and the entry and exit into the soil.Currently, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment, etc., the location where fire ants were confirmed. We are conducting surveys.
