With the cooperation of local companies, elementary schools, and park protection associations, SDGs flowers have begun to bloom in Takashima Chuo Koen!

This time, "The Kahara Hotel & Resort Yokohama" operated by Resort Trust Co., Ltd., has proposed a project to fill the city of Yokohama with flowers" as an initiative to contribute to the community and SDGs.
At the Takashima Chuo Koen in the Minato Mirai 21 district, an effort to plant flower seedlings in flower beds began in collaboration with the park protection society and the local Minatomirai Honmachi Elementary School on March 22 and 23, 2021. In January 2021, elementary school students raised flower seedlings from seeds with a flower cultivation kit and planted them in the park under the guidance of the Park Protection Association. In addition, the hotel and park protection society will cooperate with the care of the flower bed in the future.
In addition to being an open call for participants for Garden Necklace Yokohama 2021, this project is an initiative to implement education for sustainable development (ESD) in elementary schools using pots of plastic alternative materials (Lei Mecs) made from limestone as its main raw material.
