Information on center recycling (collection of bases for recyclables)

What is Center Recycling?

Center recycling is a collection of recyclable materials carried out by the Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau offices in each district.
You can bring in resources such as recycle paper and plastic containers and packaging. (kitchen garbage, moving garbage, pruned branches, etc. are not allowed.)
At the center recycling venue, we will also respond to consultations on garbage and resources. Please feel free to use it!

Reception days and hours

Time

From 9:00 am to 11:30 am, from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm
(Please refrain from coming and going at times other than the above, as collection vehicles may be concentrated and it is dangerous.)
※After 4:00 p.m., carry-on is not allowed.

Day of the week

From Monday to Saturday (including holidays)
※Closed from December 31st to January 3rd. The reception will be open until noon on December 30.

Items collected

  1. recycle paper (newspapers, magazines and other paper, cardboard, paper packs)
  2. used cloth (dirty, torn, cotton, futons, wet items are not eligible.)
  3. Plastic containers and packaging (with plastic mark)
  4. non-burnable garbage (Pottery, Glass, fluorescent lamp, Soil)
  5. Spray cans (If the contents remain, please contact the office in advance.)
  6. Used batteries
  7. Cans, bottles, PET bottles
  8. Small metals (the longest part is less than 30cm)

Items that cannot be collected

The following items cannot be collected by center recycling.

The following collection boxes are also installed for the center recycling, so please use them together.

Small home appliance collection box

Products that operate with electricity and batteries with a length of less than 30 cm that fit into the collection box slot (30 cm x 15 cm)

Collection box for ink cartridges

Secondary rechargeable batteries (Li-ion (Li-ion) batteries, nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) batteries, nickel-Cd (Ni-Cd) batteries)

Please refer to the "JBRC (outside site)" page for details of the target items.
When discharging, insulate it by attaching tape or the like.
[Dangerous] There are many fires in collection vehicles! Do not put the battery in "burnable garbage"!
