Environmental learning, garbage and resources briefing session

We conduct various briefings and environmental learning with the aim of correct separation of garbage and reduction of garbage. The content, schedule, time, etc. will be determined based on your request and consultation, so please feel free to contact the office.

Due to the household garbage collection business, implementation is limited to Wednesday and Thursday only.

(1) Let's learn about garbage and resources (edited by Tsuzuki Office) For 4th graders

A collection truck is coming to everyone's school!
The staff involved in garbage collection will visit the school and introduce the actual garbage collection work and the correct garbage separation through experiences and games. Through the experience of collection work using actual collection vehicles and videos of garbage collection, you will learn how the garbage we put out is collected, learn about the SDGs through garbage, You can think about what you can do to create a sustainable society.

※The content is based on the assumption of social studies for fourth graders, but it is possible to adjust the content and time in other grades, so please feel free to consult.

(2) Let's try the soil mixing method at school

We are working to raise awareness of the use of soil mixing methods to decompose kitchen garbage by mixing kitchen garbage and leftover food with soil. By practicing the soil mixing method, you can not only reduce garbage and reduce food loss, but also to beautify the environment through soil creation. Environmental activities throughout the year, regardless of grade or age, such as elementary school student's committee activities and PTA activities.
The office provides follow-ups such as explanations on how to proceed with the kitchen garbage Soil Mixing Method.

(3) Implement food drives to reduce food loss!

Food loss is food that is originally eaten but discarded. Food drive is an activity to bring unused food that can not be used up at home and donate it to welfare organizations. Implementing a food drive not only not only reduces food loss but also provides an opportunity to learn about the current state of food loss.
The office provides support such as lending of goods (up flags, etc.) from pre-learning to implementation. The collected food will be kept by the office and will be used to support those who need it through the Japan National Council of Social Welfare.

The staff involved in garbage collection actually visits your kindergarten and nursery school and gives fun lessons to learn about garbage and resources happily. If the garden is available, you can also demonstrate and experience the collection work with an actual collection vehicle.

Regional briefings (Neighborhood Associations, Neighborhood Association, etc.)

(1) Garbage separation courses and consultations

At gatherings at Neighborhood Association, Neighborhood Associations, condominiums, etc. in the city, we will explain garbage separation and the flow of recycling of recyclables. We explain "Yokohama Pra 5.3 (garbage) plan" which began in January, 2024.

(2) Soil Mixing Method Mini Course

We are working to raise awareness of the use of soil mixing methods to decompose kitchen garbage by mixing kitchen garbage and leftover food with soil.
The office provides follow-ups such as explanations on how to proceed with the kitchen garbage Soil Mixing Method.
There is also a system to provide necessary items for activities to groups and groups that make effective use of composted soil by the soil mixing method (such as growing flowers in local flower beds). Please also see this page.
