Tokaido Tozuka-juku Town Development Rules

Purpose of Local Community Development Rules

This area is a historic town that has developed as a post town on the former Tokaido. The Tozuka Ekimae District Central Land Readjustment Project started in 2002 in order to eliminate traffic congestion caused by the Tozuka Large Railroad Crossing and to integrate the Totsuka Station East-West Area, and the city planning road Kashio Tozuka Line has been maintained, and surrounding town development has been promoted. In order to promote the development of the cityscape like Tozuka along with the development of residential land in the business area, the landowner of each block started in 2007 with the concept of "an inn, place, town that conveys the culture of the former Tokaido Tozuka-juku with hospitality and pride" We have formulated guidelines on building design and living manners, etc., and the current townscape has been formed. In the future, with the aim of sharing the integrated characteristics of the former Tokaido Tozuka-juku in the district and promoting community development, a new "Tokaido Tozuka-juku Town Development Rules" was formulated based on the guidelines for each block.
