List of Yamauchi Library Targets for FY2023
This year, the Yamauchi Library will focus on the following goals: This list of goals has been formulated based on the "Yokohama City Medium-Term Plan", "Yokohama City Educational Promotion Basic Plan", and "Reading Activity Promotion Goals" of each ward.

Promotion of reading activities to enrich citizens' learning
Perspective of Initiatives: Expansion of reading activities utilizing various opportunities such as reading days and reading activity promotion month
Initiatives
(1)In each section of the general public and elementary school student, books are displayed on themes according to the season and current circumstances.
(2)Held special exhibitions and events that link local issues and books in collaboration with ward offices and ward facilities
(3)In addition to public information Yokohama Aoba Ward version, event information is sent on library homepage and Twitter
(4)Holding courses (adult club activities) for the elderly and those who are raising children
(5)Renewal of the original homepage

(1)Held a “Hamatre” experience meeting in cooperation with community care plaza and book exhibition related to health promotion (monthly)
(2)Information dissemination using the Internet, such as library websites, Twitter, and blogs
(3)Holding registration meeting and Zoom experience meeting at the library agency service in the city

Establishing children's reading habits

Initiatives
(1)We hold parent-child talk meetings and talk sessions for children who can listen alone (40 times a year) as a regular monthly talk session.
(2)Held a talk session at the Aoba Ward Infant Health Examination (11 times a year)
(3)Support for Vibrio Battles at elementary and junior high schools, "How to Enjoy Books" Workshops (three times a year)
(4)Introducing recommended books on the teens page of the homepage (12 times a year)

Enhancement of books to help citizens read and solve problems
Perspective of Initiatives: Enhance book materials to meet local needs
Initiatives
(1)Collecting infant picture books and materials for parents who are raising children.
(2)Enhance materials related to dementia support for the elderly, mainly materials related to dementia
(3)We are working to replace and reinforcing picture books, and have developed a story-telling corner.

(1)Held lectures on the theme of storytelling and repair for people involved in reading activities.
(2)Support cooperation for the "Aoba Story Festival" sponsored by volunteer groups in the city

(2)Held courses to utilize the online database introduced as a support for adult research.
(3)Installation of "D Books" corner to spread understanding of dementia
(4)In collaboration with Care Plaza and volunteers in the ward, we hold special exhibitions, lectures and events related to dementia during World Alzheimer's Month in September.
