List of goals for the 2023 Tsurumi Library

This year, the Tsurumi Library will focus on the following goals: This list of goals has been formulated based on the "Yokohama City Medium-Term Plan", "Yokohama City Educational Promotion Basic Plan", and "Reading Activity Promotion Goals" of each ward.

Considering the way of redevelopment and systematically carry out repairs and rebuilding

Perspective of Initiatives: Planned implementation of repair and rebuilding of aging City Library

Initiatives

(1)Regarding the Toyookacho complex, we will proceed with the development of the Toyookacho complex while incorporating the opinions of residents and other stakeholders.

Establishing children's reading habits

(1)Holding of "Tsurumikko Picture Book Plaza" (a talk session held at infant health checkup site) (6 times a month)
(2)Held “Picture Books and Children's Song Storytelling Party” for infants (22 times)
(3)Holding events such as librarians and special talk sessions for one day (April, July, August)
(4)Dissemination of "school programs" and provision of services to schools in the city
(5)Enhanced teens corner, such as POP display of new materials and participatory exhibits

Enhancement of books to help citizens read and solve problems

(2)Replenishment and Replacement of picture-story show (60 books)
(3)Purchase of books useful in child-rearing generations, child-rearing support facilities, and nursing care and welfare facilities (60 books)
(4)Purchase of business-related books (80 books)
(5)Purchase of books that lead to multicultural understanding, multicultural coexistence, and books that are useful for the lives of foreign residents (80 books).

(7)Renewal of reference books and standard books (50 books)
