List of Targets for the 2023 Tozuka Library
This year, the Tozuka Library will focus on the following goals. This list of goals has been formulated based on the "Yokohama City Medium-Term Plan", "Yokohama City Educational Promotion Basic Plan", and "Reading Activity Promotion Goals" of each ward.

Promotion of reading activities to enrich citizens' learning
Perspective of Initiatives: Expansion of reading activities utilizing various opportunities such as reading days and reading activity promotion month
Initiatives
(1)In cooperation with ward offices and reading-related facilities, we hold lectures and various events related to reading (all year).
(2)In each section of the general public and elementary school student, books are displayed in accordance with the interests and time of the inhabitants.
(3)In commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the museum's opening, various projects are held in cooperation with residents of the city (November).
(4)Dissemination of information regularly on public information Yokohama ward version, library homepage, ward Twitter, local radio station, etc. (all year)

Establishing children's reading habits

Initiatives
(1)Held a small talk session by a librarian (talking party for parents and children aged 0 to 3 years) (monthly)
(2)Held food education talks in collaboration with Totsuka Ward Health and Welfare Division (June and November)
(3)Held talks in cooperation with volunteers (12 times a year in April, August, October, November, March)
(4)Development of Children's SOS (books on anti-crime program, Bullying, Child Abuse Prevention, etc.) (November)

Perspective of Initiatives: Schools, boards of education and other related organizations work together to study the creation of a place for children to live and experience social experiences using Chuo-toshokan facilities.

Initiatives
(1)In cooperation with the ward office, we hold a reading activity promotion round-table conference to provide information and exchange opinions with residents' facilities (July).
(2)As part of the book-reading activities from the age of 0, “Lectures to Familiarize picture books from the age of 0” are held at facilities for residents of the ward (four times a year in May and September)
(3)Holding training sessions for nursery teachers (May)
(4)Support through group lending and group lending (full year)
