Naka Library Target List for FY2023

This fiscal year, Naka Library will focus on the following goals: This list of goals has been formulated based on the "Yokohama City Medium-Term Plan", "Yokohama City Educational Promotion Basic Plan", and "Reading Activity Promotion Goals" of each ward.

Promotion of reading activities to enrich citizens' learning

Perspective of Initiatives: Expansion of reading activities utilizing various opportunities such as reading days and reading activity promotion month

Initiatives

(1) Exhibition of books according to seasons and themes in each section of the general public and elementary school student
(2) Public information Yokohama Naka Ward version, library homepage, Twitter, information dissemination such as regular events by Naka Ward community broadcast station "Marine FM"
(3) Distribution of information on talk sessions to nearby kindergartens and nursery schools (May)
(4) Implemented “Naka Ward Book Festa” in cooperation with ward offices and facilities and groups in the ward (October to November)
(5)Held a talk session for adults (February)
(6) Panel Exhibit on Local Areas (March)

Establishing children's reading habits

Perspective of Initiatives: Promotion of reading activities according to the child's developmental stage

Initiatives

(1) To help parents who cannot visit the museum on weekdays can participate, we hold this talk session on their knees on Saturday (June).
(2) Held talks and book talk sessions for elementary school students during summer vacation (July to August).
(3) Exhibition of book introductions to the teens generation
(4) Participated in the Naka Ward Book Festa in cooperation with ward offices and facilities and groups in the ward (October to November) (reposted)

Enhancement of books to help citizens read and solve problems

Perspective of Initiatives: Enhance book materials to meet local needs

Initiatives

(1) Replacement and replenishment of children's books, including the use of tax payment (50 Japanese, 15 foreign languages)
(2)Replacement of picture books after standard and standard children's books (50 books)
(3) Replenishment of materials that are not in possession and replacement of materials that are in possession and replacement of materials that are in possession but have been rented more than 100 rotations (30 books)
(4) Renewal of basic books and reference books in the field of Natural Sciences (60 books) in line with the two-year outlook for building collection.
(5) Foreign language materials are collected, updated, and reinforced by paying attention to new information and topicality (38 books).
