Overview
- The facility is divided into an area surrounded by fences where buildings are located and an area outside the fence, and a part of the area outside the fence is used by local residents as a baseball field, a gateball field, and a citizen garden. Was. In addition, the prefectural road Akuwa Kamakura that runs through the facility passed, and traffic was allowed before the return.

- The former Japanese Navy's communication facilities were requisited by the U.S. Navy.
- December 1, 1970
- The land in the facility (164,000 square meters) was licensed as cultivated land by the local commander.

- November 25, 1979
- In order to implement a TV reception failure prevention project around the communication station, a TV reception failure prevention project using a joint antenna method was started based on the "Law Concerning the Improvement of Living Environment around Defense Facilities", and the Gumizawa District First TV Association was established. Subsequently, the Nakata District Joint Reception Association (Showa 54), the Taisho District Television Association (1981), the Shimoizumi Television Association (Showa 57), and the Izumigaoka District Television Joint Residential Association (1983) were established. - In response to the transition to digital terrestrial broadcasting, four unions were dissolved by the end of FY2009, except for the Taisho TV Association.
