Management: U.S. Army Facility Management Headquarters in Japan (Wharf area), U.S. Navy Yokosuka Base Command in Japan (postal area)
(1) Wharf district
  There are berths for large and small ships, field loading yards, warehouses, etc., and freight transportation operations associated with the import and export of goods and the movement of military personnel and military personnel. 
 It is being done.
  In addition, the Ground Self-Defense Force jointly uses approximately 1,870 m2 of the building.
(2) Postal Area
  The U.S. Navy postal services from the Far East to the Persian Gulf.

The wharf area and the postal district were seized.
February 16, 1972
It was designated as evacuation area.
December 21, 1972
The Japan-U.S. Joint Committee agreed to jointly use the Ground Self-Defense Force.
March 14, 1973
The Japan-U.S. Joint Committee agreed to return the motor pool.
March 31, 1973
A part of the restricted water area (30 meters wide, 1,046 meters long) has been returned.
February 8, 1974
Construction of the motor pool replacement facility has been completed and the motor pool (99,563.67 square meters) has been returned.
March 27, 1995
Construction of the Mizuho Bridge has been completed and the service has started. (construction started in February 1991)
November 24, 1995
We applied for joint use to construct an approach road into the facility.
December 12, 1995
Landfill work (1st phase, approximately 30,900 square meters) has been completed. (construction started on January 18, 1995)
December 25, 1995
A part of the waters (approximately 30,900 square meters) has been returned.
January 13, 1997
The U.S. Navy Yokosuka Supply Center, which has been relocated from Guam, has begun regular transportation operations. (The port call in November 1998 has not been made last.)
June 26, 1997
Due to the relocation of live fire shooting training in Okinawa, guns and vehicles were unloaded.
(Since, land is carried out once or twice a year.)
September 26, 1997
An alternative warehouse for Yokohama refrigerated warehouse was provided.
June 18, 1998
The Japan-US Joint Committee agreed to jointly use the construction of roads to the public berth.
February 25, 1999
Landfill work (2nd phase, approximately 138,000 square meters) for the construction of a public bath has been completed. (Construction started on May 1, 1996)
March 31, 2000
The Japan-US Joint Committee agreed to provide an alternative refrigerated warehouse, which is a condition for returning the Kanagawa Milk Plant.
June 25, 2002
Access to the public berth has been put into service.
August 25, 2002
Five U.S. Army boats were brought into the facility for storage.
(Since, 32 boat boats have been brought in by September 2004.)
June 30, 2006
The Far East Military Maritime Transport Command, located in the Far East, was relocated to Singapore.
March 5, 2009
The Japan-U.S. Joint Committee agreed to return some of the land.
March 31, 2009
A part of the land (land: about 27,000 square meters, water area: about 2,500 square meters, Mizuho Bridge, etc.) has been returned.
March 31, 2021
A part of the land (approximately 1,400 square meters) and structures have been returned.
