Status of U.S. military facilities in the city
The largest requisition area in Yokohama by the Allied Forces reached 1,200 hectares. After the Peace Treaty came into force in 1952, 112 facilities were provided to the U.S. military.
Koshiba Oil Storage Facility (53 hectares) in 2005, 60 years after the war, the 150th anniversary of the opening of Yokohama Port, a part of Yokohama North Dock (2.7 hectares) and the entire Tomioka Warehouse area (2.9 hectares), 2014 The return of Fukaya Communication Station (77 hectares) and the Kamiseya Communication Facility (242 hectares) were realized in 2015, and U.S. military facilities in Yokohama City are currently provided in about 150 hectares of water.
Of these, the US and Japanese governments agreed to return the enclave (1 hectare) in the Negishi Residential Area (43 hectares), the Ikego residential area, and the Navy auxiliary facility Yokohama city area. .
