City of Yokohama, Fire Bureau and Yokohama National University Graduate School of Advanced Science and Technology signed a memorandum of understanding on firefighting research on March 28, 2019.
Yokohama City and Yokohama National University have already established a mutual cooperation system in the "Comprehensive Agreement on Cooperation and Cooperation Related to Revitalization and Revitalization of Urban and Local Areas" (concluded on June 5, 2013).
In order to solve various issues related to firefighting, such as unusual disasters caused by dangerous substances, high-pressure gas, and explosives, the MOU aims to further realize the basic goal of Fire Bureau, "Yokohama, a city where people can feel safe and secure."
