The outline of the Fire Bureau budget for FY2020 is as follows.

Fire Bureau Priority Business

  • Enhancement of firefighting system [P4, P5]

 In order to respond to all kinds of disasters, including fires and rescue, we will properly maintain equipment and materials and conduct various drills throughout the year.
 In addition, in order to reliably receive various disaster reports and respond quickly and accurately, we will maintain and maintain the firefighting communication command system properly.

  • Enhancement and enhancement of emergency rescue systems [P4, P6]

In order to respond to the increasing demand for emergency services efficiently and effectively with a sense of speed, the number of emergency rescue squads will be increased as `` day shift rescue squads '' that operate only during the day, and will be increased when emergency requests are frequently increased. Increase the number of emergency ambulances to be used as substitutes for emergency services.

  • Promotion of disaster prevention and reduce disaster damage education in Yokohama Disaster Risk Reduction Learning Center [P4, P9]

  • Promotion of installation of initial-stage fire-fighting techniques. equipment, etc. [P4, P9]

  • Maintenance of fire department headquarters building [P4, P11]

 In order to maintain the firefighting headquarters building, which will be the center of firefighting and disaster prevention activities, the current Hodogaya fire department will be dismantled, and construction of the firefighting headquarters building and renewal of the firefighting communication command system equipment will begin.

  • Construction of the fire boat "Mamori" [P4, P12]

 Based on the design implemented in the first fiscal year, we will start building for renewal of fire boats, which are indispensable for ensuring the safety and security of Yokohama Port and supporting the development of the city's economy.

  • Improvement of work environment at fire stations [P4, P13]
