Based on the high wave damage caused by Typhoon No. 15 in 2019, the Kanto Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism decided to consider design methods that assume the largest class of high waves that could occur in Tokyo Bay. Committee "was established.
