Yokohama City has concluded a Memorandum of Understanding on Partnerships (concluded in April 2014 and updated on March 31, 2019), and has been working to build a beneficial relationship for the development of Yokohama Port and Thailand's ports in Thailand.
This time, under the framework of intercity cooperation between Yokohama City and the Port Authority of Thailand, Yokohama Port Wharf Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "YPC") adopted the "Survey Project for Low Carbon Society by Promoting Modal Shift and Terminal Efficiency" was selected by the Ministry of the Environment's "Inter-City Collaboration Project for Realizing a Low Carbon Society in FY2019".
YPC has been working with Yokohama City to conduct training at the Port Authority of Thailand and to form environmental projects in cooperation with companies in Yokohama, and to form environmental projects in Y-PORT projects.
Motoichi will also be involved in this survey work as a co-proposer, and through this opportunity, we will further strengthen partnership with the Thai Port Authority. In addition, we will use the results of our research activities to consider environmental measures at Yokohama Port in the future.
