A new high-performance logistics facility was completed at Minami-Honmaki Pier! Further enhancement of Yokohama Port's logistics functions

　Yokohama Port, a strategic international container port, is actively working to accumulate high-performance logistics facilities in highly convenient areas close to major container terminals in order to strengthen logistics functions that generate demand for container freight.
　At Minamihonmoku Pier, three major logistics companies, including Sumitomo Warehouse Co., Ltd., have decided to construct a facility with a total floor area of more than 90,000 square meters. One building started operation in November 2017 and one building started in September 2018.
　The new high-performance logistics facility of Sumitomo Warehouse Co., Ltd. was completed on June 14th.
　The facility, which has functions such as constant temperature air conditioning equipment that responds to various cargo storage needs, is expected to be used as a distribution center, taking advantage of its excellent location with excellent access to the city and the Tokyo metropolitan area.
　In addition, since the facility plans to work to streamline distribution operations and reduce carbon dioxide emissions, the facility has been certified as a Comprehensive Efficiency Plan based on the Comprehensive Efficiency Law.
　The completion of MC-4 at Minamihonmoku Pier in FY2019 will result in a synergistic effect with the strengthening of international competitiveness, and further strengthening logistics functions.
