Yokohama City is promoting the wind power generation business as an opportunity for each citizen to take concrete action and as part of measures against global warming through the use of renewable energy.
The Yokohama Wind Power Plant “Hama Wing” is a symbolic business of Yokohama City's environmental action. It is operated with the sponsorship of Y (Yokohama)-Green Partner "and" from the sale of electricity.
This time, Keikyu Corporation, one of these companies, has utilized a mechanism to use the renewable energy of wind power generation by a sponsoring company as an initiative in line with June of "Environment Month". Electricity for railways (*) used on the entire line will be covered by natural energy using "Hama Wing".
